2008年11月に調査会社のニールセンが行った世界調査によると、好きな外食は、地元の料理と応答者の27％が答えた。次いで、中華料理の26％、イタリア料理の17％。
According to a global survey carried out by research company Nielsen in November 2008, 27% of respondents said that their favorite restaurant meal was a local cuisine, followed by Chinese cuisines with 26% and Italian with 17%.
日本では、48％が和食が最も好きと答え、一番人気になった。続いて、中華の28％、イタリアンの19％、フレンチの5％。
In Japan, 48% responded that they like Japanese food best, making it the most popular followed by Chinese with 28%, Italian with 19% and French with 5%.
44％の人が週に1回から3回の外食をする一方、38％は月に1回以下だ。
44% of people eat out from one to three times a week, while 38% do so less than once a month.
アジア太平洋地域の消費者は頻繁に外食する傾向があり、日本人の46％が週に1回から3回外食をする。
People in the Asia-Pacific region tend to eat out frequently and 46% of the Japanese eat out from one to three times a week.
