I’m an Australian university student, I am in my final year of a Games Design degree. Hopefully by the end I’ll be able to start making some fun and interesting games to share here. You can follow my progress on my blog (up there /|\ at the top).
Currently, I’m considering going over to Japan to teach English after I finish my degree (ぼくは、かぞくをにげろ). Unfortunately, for this to be a possibility I’ll have to master my remaining anti-social tendencies. Can’t very well move to a foreign country and not communicate with people. This site has helped me adjust to talking to strangers on the net, just need to apply this to the real world.
I’ve been studying Japanese on my own for just over a year now and I am still amazed by how much progress I’ve made. I can read Manga (and follow 80% of what’s happening), I’m able to follow lyrics in songs, and my vocabulary has sky-rocketed since I joined Smart.fm. Pretty soon I’m going to try and hire a language coach so I can learn to speak as well.
I can play the Bass guitar a little, not enough to actually do anything with it, but still it’s fun and that’s what’s important.
I don’t really consider myself an Otaku, but I seem to be progressing steadily in that direction.
If you feel like talking to me I’m all for it so go ahead.
