Japanese movies surely played an important role in my fascination for Japan and eventually for my decision to learn Japanese.
Kurosawa has been one of my favorite directors since I’m seventeen. Recently i discovered Iwai Shunji and Ishikawa Hiroshi who are also really great directors.

All in all, movies are probably the art form i’m the most attached to, more than music, romans, paintings or theater.
