Still waiting on filters for the Activity Streams…

- The change to the Activity Streams is not welcome and actually reduces the usability and enjoyment of the site. The team has made clear that they will not revert to the old behavior, but filters will not be enough. Opt-in would be ideal, but lacking that, I need to be able to opt-out of having each activity posted to the stream. -

I live in Tokyo where I teach in the English Language Program at J. F. Oberlin University in Machida. Aside from English skills courses, I also teach content courses such as Online Communication and courses studying comic strips and comic books. I am also a long-time and enthusiastic Moodle user.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling around Japan and internationally. A little hiking, scuba diving, and local food sampling is often part of any of my travel plans.

I started using smart.fm to prepare for the JLPT, but quickly saw that this would be useful as a teacher as well. Creating lists is easy, but creating really good lists takes time … but I’m working on it.
